Reigniting Hope: A Survivor’s Guide
The most important gift Carole shares is her understanding of teenage depression. Her insights give teens hope and can prevent the pain a parent would have to feel at losing a child to teenage suicide.
Carole speaks annually at high schools on the topic of depression and attempted suicide. Having suffered from depression throughout her youth, Carole tried to commit suicide at age 24. Her mission in sharing her story is to bring hope and confidence so young people can know that the best part of their lives is ahead of them.
Her story isn’t an academic exercise. It’s a heartfelt personal communion told with both passion and compassion. This explains her success in profoundly connecting with kids.
Feedback from the students always affirms the importance of her work.
